Free Fitness Classes

There as many ways to think about health and well-being as there are body types. So, whether you’re into shaking it off, sweating it out, or self-caring it inward, the North Lawn of the Commons is the place to find your fit – and it’s all free. Sponsored by UnitedHealthcare and coordinated by Seven Studios and Raw Yoga 614, you’ll find four classes every week from May through September.

Tuesdays

What to Expect on Tuesday

HIIT:Designed to strengthen and sculpt your body, HIIT is considered one of the best workouts for improving and health and wellbeing and helping participants reach their fitness goals. Intervals range in duration of time, but typically spend a few minutes in a fat burning zone, and then tap into the higher, sugar-burning zones for a burst of energy. and then safely recover. Instructors will provide modifications so that everyone feels successful. Please bring your own mat.

Yoga: Great for beginners through advanced, you'll go through a vinyasa practice which includes sun salutation sequences (movements put together) and then focuses on individual poses for strength, balance, or restoration. Class ends with a savasana or quiet time for sealing the practice. Modifications and progressions are given so that everyone feels successful. Flow at your own pace, and please bring your own mat.
