ABOUT CONCERTS

From folk rock to the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Columbus Commons is the official Downtown home for concert fans this summer. We produce a musical mix of free shows and rent the park to others to produce a variety of ticketed events that equates to no shortage of concert activity at the Commons. Check out the lineup and join us at the city’s center!

Easy and convenient parking is available just south of the park at the Columbus Commons Main Garage, located at 55 East Rich Street. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome; please leave coolers at home. 

We host a mix of free and ticketed events, so be sure to read the event details carefully! Concerts produced by Columbus Downtown Development Corporation are FREE, but some events at Columbus Commons may require you to claim free tickets or purchase tickets. No tickets are required for this FREE concert produced by CDDC & Capitol South.

Bar and food trucks will open at 5:30pm. Music begins with local legends The Spikedrivers with St. Paul and The Broken Bones to follow.

The Columbus Downtown Development Corporation (CDDC) and Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) invite the central Ohio community to enjoy a FREE concert on Thursday, August 8 with Boyz II Men, along with local favorite Mistar Anderson. 

FREE TICKETS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THIS CONCERT, and all tickets have been claimed. For more information and FAQs, click here

FREE Concert featuring The Navigators
Presented by Hertz Investment Group
Saturday, August 3

Bar and food trucks open at 6:00 PM
Music will begin at 7:00 PM

Free event featuring the Navigators, a group comprised of Columbus executives and professionals playing high-energy rock tunes from the 1960s to today. Since their formation in 2003, they have helped to raise more than $200,000 to help local and national charities such as the City Year Columbus, United Way, Salvation Army, Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Hilltop YMCA, the American Red Cross, A Kid Again and more. This year the concert will benefit St. Vincent Family Center, one of central Ohio’s leading experts in pediatric behavioral healthcare, helping children and families succeed at home, at school, and in life.

Harmony Project Presents: The Concert For Community
Thursday, June 6
7:30 PM

Thousands will gather on the Columbus Commons lawn for a free-to-the-public sunset concert. The Concert for Community features an opening act,  the Columbus Children's Choir, Harmony Project's 500-voice, non-auditioned community chorus and 40 local musical artists as part of the Harmony Band and Orchestra.

Harmony Project's Concert for Community is free to the public. However, the production expenses, security, and video add up to more than $150,000 budget. Please consider a donation when you claim your free ticket(s). Tickets are required; more information can be found here. Tickets may be claimed before the concert.

Summer 614 brings some of your favorite R&B and hip hop artists from yesterday and today to Columbus Commons. With music, food, drinks and vendors you won't want to miss it. Check the event website for music lineup and more information on permitted items. Tickets are required.  

No blankets or coolers allowed. Chairs (camping/folding) are permitted.

The Columbus Downtown Development Corporation (CDDC) and Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) invite the central Ohio community to enjoy a FREE concert on Friday, May 17 with Blues Traveler, along with local favorite Angela Perley and the Howlin’ Moons. Blues Traveler will take the stage around 8:00 pm, but guests are encouraged to arrive at 6:00 pm. This free concert is just the first announcement for the Common Ground Concert Series – stay tuned for another exciting announcement.  For more information and FAQs, click here
