Our beloved carousel is a staple at Columbus Commons. This ride and over 20 animals were built in June of 2011. Each animal is made entirely of hand-carved wood, which is a rare find! The canopy of the carousel is hand-painted with vignettes of Columbus landmarks including the Columbus Zoo and Ohio Statehouse. We like to take care of our carousel as well; it was recently restored with some cosmetic and operational upgrades in January of 2024. This helps keep our classic wooden carousel to be as bright and as bold as it deserves to be while running smoothly for years to come.
