Picnic with the Pops, presented by Nationwide, is a chance to see some of today's most popular entertainers performing with the Columbus Symphony! The summer home of the Columbus Symphony, Columbus Commons is excited to host another season of the annual outdoor concert series, Picnic with the Pops. Tickets required to attend and are available here.

  • June 21: Popcorn Pops - Celebrate Summer! (canceled due to weather) *Pre-concert activities begin at 5:30pm, show starts at 7pm

  • July 6: Windborne, The Music of Led Zeppelin
  • July 12: Popcorn Pops - Carnival! *Pre-concert activities begin at 5:30pm, show starts at 7pm
  • July 13: Nas with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra 
  • July 20: Cody Fry
  • July 26 & 27: The Ohio State University Marching Band

Thursdays in August

7pm - Concert begins

Brought to you by Downtown Columbus, Inc., Local + Live brings a perfect start to your weekend. With a line-up full of Columbus’ best local bands paired with great drinks and rotating food truck options, you won’t want to be anywhere else on Thursday nights all August long. This series is free and open to the public.  

New this year, is our partnership with Beers and Board Games who will be facilitating table top games each week during this series, from 6pm to 8pm. Back this year, you will find The Parachute People in the lawn creating community through play.

  • August 1: Throwback Thursday with a tribute to The Beatles with Joe Peppercorn and Fleetwood Gold, featuring an appearance by the East High School Marching Band.  
  • August 8: Leading Ladies with Lily Bloom Band and Angela Perley  
  • August 15: Back to School Night with Saylor Twift (a live-band tribute to Taylor Swift) and Go Big, Go Broadway: Enchanted Evening Edition 
  • August 22: Local Grooves and Goods with The Worn Flints and Zoo Trippin’, featuring a shoppable vendor market in partnership with The Good Market.  
  • August 29: Columbus Soul Review with T. Wong and MojoFlo  


614 FUNK FEST

5pm - Gates open at Rich Street entrance ONLY. Food trucks and bars will open.

7pm - Concert begins

Common Ground Concert Series, presented by Downtown Columbus, Inc. and CAPA, welcomes Sugar Ray, Tonic and Lit.

FREE A Song Remains (A Night of Led Zeppelin) + The Dead Revival Band (Grateful Dead Tribute)

We’ve got a night of epic anthems and guitar solos in store with two tribute bands covering legendary groups. The Dead Revival Band will kick things off, followed by The Song Remains: A Night of Led Zeppelin.

Enjoy a bar and food trucks plus a shoppable vendor market in partnership with The Good Market! 

Feel free to bring a lawn chair or blanket, this show does not require tickets and is free and open to the public. 


FREE Shadowbox Live Show

Sunday, September 1

6pm - Bar and food trucks open

8pm - Performance begins

Shadowbox Live pays tribute to the music and influence of David Bowie and Prince, and the revolutions they led across music, fashion and pop culture. 

The multimedia production includes 24 songs (11 David Bowie and 13 Prince) performed live and brought to life by the Shadowbox Live house band and metaperformers with additional stories and information on these two iconic music legends. The show is a true tribute show enhanced with dance, video and more.

Feel free to bring a lawn chair or blanket, this show does not require tickets and is free and open to the public. 


FREE - The Navigators

Presented by Wright-Patt Credit Union

A group comprised of Columbus executives and professionals playing high-energy rock tunes from the 1960s to today. Since their formation in 2002, they have helped to raise more than $500,000 to help local and national charities such as the City Year Columbus, United Way, Salvation Army, Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Hilltop YMCA, the American Red Cross, A Kid Again and more.  

Blankets and chairs are welcome. Beverage sales and food trucks are available on site. Tickets are NOT required.

SUMMER614 presents MUSIC IS THERAPY 614 celebrating African American Music Month. Come enjoy your favorite R&B and hip-hop artists from yesterday and today to Columbus Commons again this year. Scarface w/ Full Band, MC Lyte, Bobby V, 8Ball & MJG, Chrisette Michelle, Ro James and more join this year’s line-up! Tickets are required to attend.
