Spend your summer at Columbus Commons

Whip out your scheduling app. Tell Siri to book some appointments… even an old-fashioned desk calendar and a sharpie will do the trick.

Got ‘em?

It’s time to unveil 28 weeks of summer at Columbus Commons.  Sure, in some places, summer fun might come and go in three short months.  The summer here is longer and better: we double the days, and the fun increases exponentially. Columbus Commons celebrates the season from May through October.  And when you see this line up of events, you’ll need to book a few dozen dates.

Are you an eater?  You’ll want to hit the Commons twice on Thursdays for the Food Truck Food Court at lunch and Pints and Pies at dinner. Plus, this year’s Food Truck Festival has been expanded to two delicious days of summer munchies.

We’ve got culture too.  Shakespeare in the Park is back this summer, and so is Picnic with the Pops.  The Columbus Commons will also be headquarters for free Downtown Live concerts and the first Alive Summer Concert of the season.

For the fitness fanatic, there’s a buffet of treats.  Kickball, zumba, crossfit, bootcamp, kickboxing, hip hop, yoga - all free . . . and that’s in addition to big weekend events like the Capital City Half Marathon, Central Ohio Heart Walk, and Pelotonia.

On the family side, Commons for Kids on Fridays is back, along with Family Fundays and kids movie nights all summer long.

Save your exotic travel vacations for winter.  There’s too much going on at the center of this city to miss one summer moment at Columbus Commons. Visit www.columbuscommons.org for updates and information, and find us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for insider info.
